ZOLLIKON INSTITUTE / Letter from the President
Letter from the President
Dear Friends and Supporters of Zollikon Institute,
It is with great humility and excitement that I step into the role of President at Zollikon Institute. I am deeply honored to join a community that has faithfully pursued the mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment, aligned with the values of the Plain Anabaptist community, to empower students in their academic, spiritual, and personal growth. As I begin this journey, I am inspired by the legacy of Norita Yoder, whose vision and leadership have built a strong foundation for Zollikon. I look forward to building on this foundation as we step into the next chapter together.
My journey to this point has been shaped by a commitment to Anabaptist values and a passion for education that transforms lives. From my early experiences in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall, to my work with refugees and service as a minister and educator, I have seen firsthand the power of faith to break down barriers and create true community. At Zollikon Institute, I see a unique opportunity to cultivate a learning environment that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters a spirit of service and discipleship. My goal is to guide Zollikon in growing as a community that equips students to live out the teachings of Jesus in practical, impactful ways.
One of my key priorities as President will be to strengthen our engagement with both students and faculty, focusing on the recruitment of dedicated Christian instructors who share our vision for holistic education. I believe that a vibrant learning community is rooted in strong relationships—between students and teachers, within our local church networks, and with the broader Anabaptist community. As Zollikon continues to grow, I am eager to explore new partnerships and mission projects that will provide our students with hands-on opportunities to serve, both locally and globally.
I am also committed to expanding our vocational training programs, which are vital in preparing our students to meet the needs of their communities. By collaborating closely with local businesses and church leaders, we can develop initiatives that not only enhance students’ skills but also strengthen the economic and spiritual fabric of our communities. I look forward to working with our team to make Zollikon a beacon of light and service, where education and faith intersect to inspire a new generation of leaders.
Thank you for welcoming me into the Zollikon family. I am excited to serve alongside you, and I am grateful for your continued support and prayers as we move forward together. May God bless our efforts as we seek to faithfully live out the calling He has placed on Zollikon Institute.
In Christ’s Service,
Dean Taylor
