Message From Dean Taylor

Be a Part – Exciting Things Happening at Zollikon!

God is working at Zollikon Institute – and we want you to be a part of it! Construction is about to begin on our new facility on Hwy 39, we’re launching Bible and Business programs with respected leaders in our community, we’re integrating discipleship and choir into our full-time curriculum – serving students interested in competency – based or more traditional degrees, and businesses are planning to upskill their employees with our TechCred program. There is even more to come!

Join us at our upcoming Open House on May 30. Please see the details below and reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions. We’d love to meet you!

Zollikon Board Member Highlight: Sherry Miller

Headshot of woman smiling with trees behind herSherry describes her passion and her interest in higher education in the following manner. “I am passionate about Christians walking in community with one another, having authentic relationships and helping each other grow in the Lord. My interest in higher Christian education is two-fold. First, I love to learn but never had the opportunity to pursue it myself. Being a part of offering that opportunity to others is exciting to me. Second, the offering of Biblical teaching from an Anabaptist perspective in an environment that is conducive to spiritual growth is so comforting for those of us who are parents seeking places of learning for our children.”

In getting to know Sherry: her recommended read is Side by Side by Edward T. Welch, I John 3:7-21 is a favorite scripture passage, and Americano is her go-to coffee shop order.

Please Join Us at “The Hill” on May 30

President Taylor Honored to Speak

President Taylor is honored to be the speaker for the Ephrata Mennonite School commencement on May 20, 2025. As it is written in Numbers 6, may the Lord bless and keep the students and their families.

Earlier in May, President Taylor was honored to have the opportunity to address the ADC Youth Conference, explaining how they can learn in community with a cohort of like-minded Anabaptists at Zollikon. He shared details of our Business Leadership Program. Tim Byler and President Taylor explained the solid foundation offered by our Ministry and Missions Training Program. Zollikon is praying they will join us to find community and to learn and grow in their faith and knowledge of the Scriptures. Questions? [email protected].

Course Spotlight – Ministry and Missions Training Program

A black bible with three flowers set beside itAs part of the Ministry and Missions Training Program, Old Testament Introduction offers a comprehensive survey of the Old Testament, examining the content, structure, historical background, literary features, and theological themes of the Hebrew Scriptures from Genesis to Malachi. Rooted in an Anabaptist perspective and Christocentric hermeneutic, the course encourages students to engage Scripture with reverence, highlighting themes of community, peace, and God’s call to holiness. Students will consider the implications of Old Testament teaching for ethical living and the continuity of God’s mission from the Old to the New Testaments. This is just one of the many courses designed to equip students for thoughtful, faithful service in ministry and mission.

Kingdom Quotes

“True evangelical faith…cannot lie dormant; it clothes the naked, it feeds the hungry, it comforts the sorrowful, it shelters the destitute, it serves those that harm it, it binds up that which is wounded; it has become all things to all people.” by Menno Simons

Until Next Month,
Dean Taylor
President of Zollikon Institute
