Message From Dean Taylor
Engaging scholars in rigorous academic exercise, preparing individuals to grow, and training students to serve in a rapidly changing world are core parts of our educational philosophy at Zollikon. We are excited to share about programs that align with these goals! First, we are preparing for new TechCred classes starting at area businesses. Their employees can benefit from upskilling that is of no-cost to employee or employer, as training is grant-funded. Email Cordell Weaver at [email protected] to inquire about the next TechCred application period opening in May. Additionally, we are excited about our two new programs, our Ministry and Missions Training Program and our Business Leadership Program. Both will be taught by respected leaders in our community. Questions? [email protected].
Zollikon Board Member Highlight: Henry Blank
Henry Blank lives in Queens, where he serves as President of DestiNations International. Previously, he served as the director of the Ministry Training Center in Queens, NY and also taught in both the elementary and high school classrooms. Henry holds a bachelor’s of education degree. Henry and his wife Deborah are blessed with four children. He is passionate about his family, the Word of God, investing in the lives of young people, and making Christ’s name famous among the nations.
In getting to know Henry: his recommended read is An Unhurried Life by Alan Fadling, Ephesians 1:3-14 is a favorite scripture passage, and his go-to coffee shop order is a caramel latte.
President Taylor To Speak to ADC Youth
We are excited to have President Taylor and Tim Byler present our Ministry and Missions Training and Business Leadership programs at the ADC Youth Conference, May 2 – 4, 2025. Interested students will learn how they can learn in community with a cohort of like-minded Anabaptists. They can gain valuable insight and knowledge from experienced business professionals in the Business Leadership Program. Students desiring preparation to serve in ministry or on the mission field can gain a solid foundation in the Ministry and Missions Training Program. While Zollikon is seeking to serve the local community, our heart is also that Anabaptist youth from other areas are able to learn and grow in their faith and knowledge of the Scriptures. We are praying they will want to join us to find community at Zollikon Institute.
Zollikon to Offer New Programs – Fall 2025
New, residential, cohort programs are starting fall 2025. Our Ministry and Missions Training program is led by Tim Byler and Michael Miller. The program will give a solid foundation of biblical knowledge and theology while also providing courses that are geared towards practical application. It will include courses such as: Apologetics, Old Testament, Perspectives on Christian Missions, Historical Theology, and Counseling. Our Business Leadership Program includes: Marketing, Leadership, Financial Management, Human Resources Management, and Sales Management. Students will learn from Holmes County business professionals, gaining knowledge from organizations like Center for Serving Leadership, Keim, and ProVia. Both programs will include our discipleship program, Faith and Gelassenheit, and Choir. Upon application and assessment at our partner, Kairos University, students can seek competency based credit toward Kairos degree programs. Questions? [email protected].
