Common Questions
Is Zollikon Institute accredited?
No. Zollikon Institute is not accredited. We are a private, faith-based learning community focused on biblical wisdom, leadership development, and practical discipleship.
Then how can I earn an accredited degree?
Through our partnership with Kairos University, which is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Students who enroll through Kairos can complete their coursework within the Zollikon community—learning from our faculty and mentors—while earning a fully accredited degree from Kairos University.
What does “regionally accredited” mean?
Regional accreditation is the highest and most widely recognized form of accreditation in the United States. It ensures that a university meets rigorous academic and institutional standards, and that its degrees and credits are recognized by other colleges, employers, and graduate schools.
Does Zollikon offer its own degrees?
No. All degrees earned through Zollikon are granted by Kairos University. Zollikon provides the community-based learning environment, mentoring, and instruction that make the educational journey personal and transformative—but the degree itself comes from Kairos.
What can I do with the credential I receive through Kairos (in partnership with Zollikon)?
Graduates of Zollikon’s partnership with Kairos University can earn a regionally accredited blended B.A./M.A. in Leadership or Christian Thought and Practice. This credential opens doors to ministry, nonprofit, and marketplace leadership, and is recognized by other colleges and seminaries for further study. Through Zollikon’s mentoring community and Kairos’s accredited framework, you gain both academic credibility and practical formation for a life of faithful influence.
A Leadership degree equips you to serve and lead wherever God calls you—whether in the church, the classroom, or the marketplace. Students in Kairos’s B.A./M.A. in Leadership through Zollikon grow in communication, ethical decision-making, and organizational and managerial insight, all grounded in biblical wisdom.
Graduates could use this degree to:
- Lead in Christian education, serving as teachers, administrators, or mentors in schools, colleges, or ministries.
- Direct church and nonprofit ministries.
- Advance in business or entrepreneurial leadership.
- Strengthen leadership within their families and communities, applying timeless principles of stewardship, service, and faith.
Because the degree is regionally accredited through Kairos University, it also provides a solid foundation for further study in leadership, education, theology, or ministry at other accredited institutions.
Students study within Zollikon’s local community while completing a regionally accredited degree through Kairos University.
What makes Zollikon a better option than attending another Christian college or doing self-study?
Zollikon offers something few schools can: Christ-centered learning in genuine community. Instead of moving far from home or learning alone online, Zollikon students grow under local mentors and peers who know them personally and walk with them in their discipleship journey.
Zollikon’s model keeps you rooted in your church and community while connecting you to a regionally accredited degree through Kairos University. You study Scripture, theology, and leadership not in isolation, but in conversation with others who share your faith and daily life.
Unlike self-study, Zollikon gives you the structure, accountability, and discipleship that turn knowledge into wisdom. It’s not just about earning a degree, it’s about becoming the kind of person God can use to lead, serve, and build up His people and His kingdom wherever you are.
